ARMY TRANSPORT SERVICE REGULATIONS. 35 174. Quartermaster agents will not hire employees nor purchase subsistence stores in ports where no officer of the Quartermaster Corps is on duty, except in case of absolute emergency, and the necessity for such purchase will be immediately reported to the general superintendent.
