We estimate, however, the population at 200, 000. The prosperity of the past seven years has been equal to that of any former period of the history of the Territory. On April 1st, 1887, the total Mormon population in the Territories of Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Wyoming and, 7 / o Mormon popula- New Mexico, and the States of Nevada and Colorado g^ffij^ was 162, 383, officially classed and ranked as follows : etc - 3 first presidents, 11 apostles, 65 patriarchs, 6444 seven- ties, 3723 high priests, 12, 441 elders, 2423 priests, 2497 teachers, 6854 deacons, and 81, 283 members; total officers and membors, 115, 699.
