I am difected by the Earl of ClarendoB to acqaai...st yoa ih^ having referred to tbe War D^Murtmeat jour letter, of the 12th nit., requesting tiiAcfc a small supply of arms may be funuahed to the Gtoyemment of Ooeta Biea, his krdahip has been informed by that D^artment, in reply, that 2,000 smooth-bore muskets, (nittons,) which are not so highly finished as the line pattern muskets of 1842, can be supplied for this service at £1 3«. each, or if it should be preferred, 2,000 of the line pattern muskets of 1352 can be furnished at 56s, 6d, each.
