Benny had disappeared.

‘Tank’s job! Got a boy of ten could do it. Goin’ to give Benny a wee thrill here.’ ‘You watch what ye’re doin’.’ Matt was smiling.
‘It’ll be just like the Big Dipper. Benny says he can’t remember bein’ frightened. Should be no problem for a man of his calibre.’ He pronounced it jocularly, to rhyme with ‘Khyber’.
