How much better that was than the everlasting hounding and coaxing that some preachers indulged in, in their feeble, unfruit- ful efforts to entice people into their churches.
"Blue knows he doesn't have to crowd himself Digitized by VjOOQIC 150 WANTED— A CONGREGATION and his church on to people!" soliloquized Downey. "And that's probably why he doesn't have to — just because he doesn't do it! A man can come to his church — or leave it alone.
