The edifice rests on a sub-base of gran- ite, above which is a basement of the material of the super- structure, after which rises the order, pierced with two stories of windows, the whole surmounted by an acroteria to cor- respond with the earlier portion of the stiiicture, of appro- priate simplicity and dimensions.
