I didn’t know why people didn’t just get out of their cabs and walk. It was a beautiful day, already warm and probably on the way to being hot. The sky was so blue, without a trace of a single cloud, that it looked like something from a postcard. It felt more like a summer day than a September day. It was a nice day not to be in school. Then again, being in my father’s office wouldn’t be that much different or better.
