He died shortly afterwards at Valladolid, having become a Roman Catholic just before his death. The upper part, to his wife Lady Anne (1633-4), was put up by Lord Cottington himself ; the bust is metal, enclosed in a metal wreath, the sculptor Hubert le Soeur,^ a pupil of John of Bologna.
