Inside, the decor is Cheerful Parisian with waitresses as beautiful as the pastries. That must be a requirement for working there: gorgeous. Remembering to offer a menu or bring the check? Not necessarily.
Lalo’s not only lovely but it’s also semi-famous, at least locally, because the scene in You’ve Got Mail where Meg Ryan’s waiting to meet her pen pal was filmed there. Every time I see that scene I want to shout, Meg!
