The bare comparison of the statement with the facts makes argument superfluous.
Why do I dwell on these things ? Not to impugn the hon- esty of the President, whose nature is combative, not judicial, but because I would make you realize the vital difference be- tween the government of a people by themselves and a gov- ernment of the same people by another nation.
