These systems have proven superior to the older spark system which is universally employed to-day, and in fact, it is probably a matter of a short time when all the stations will be employing the more efficient newer systems. Aside from the regular Marconi spark system, there are two other methods of producing oscillations for wireless purposes used at present in commercial work: The Quenched spark system, and the Arc system.
