Dr. Branthwaite, who has recently been appointed medical adviser to the Home Office Schools, in his report for 1910 writes: " Of about 700 boys examined in a naked state, roughly about 85 per cent, of those who have MEDICAL ADVISER^S REPORT 53 been under detention two years or longer were well nourished and of good physique.
